-According to a report by the Washington Times, two Pakistani men with Islamist terror ties were apprehended by U.S Border Patrol Agents near San Diego, California.
-This is significant in that there is now irrefutable evidence that our Southern Border is being exploited by Islamists.
-Even more troubling is the realization that both of these men gained entry into the continent via Panama and used illicit smuggling networks to make their way into the U.S.
-This opens the even broader question of possible connections between terror groups wanting to visit violence on the U.S. and narco-trafficking networks with access and placement to move illicit goods and illegal
people into the country. This combination of terror and criminal networks on our Southern Border is something I’ve been warning for months now in my book Game Changers. Which leaves only one question:
-Who made it into the country who HASN’T been caught and what do they have in store for the U.S? Only time, and maybe a little bit of luck will tell.
-In the meantime, the 2016 election conversation should shift heavily to border security reform and overhauling immigration policy.
-Time is not on our side.
